About

My “Spiritual Path”

I am a student, follower of a book called A Course in Miracles (ACIM.) ACIM is a book. ACIM is a  spiritual self-study program designed to awaken us to the truth of our oneness with God and Love. Although it is a self-study book and there is no official teacher or organization other than the publishers, students of the Course often gather in study groups and teachers around the world have popped up. The teacher(s) I follow are a group called, Living Miracles  with the teacher David Hoffmeister.

I have only met two of the “teachers”, Kirsten Buxton, Ricki Comeaux and Diana Markin. All of whom I will refer to at times. But, Living Miracles is very open and available to all through modern technologies and multiple ways of being in contact with the teachers and community. I attend as often as possible the online retreats.  I follow daily their site Movie Watchers Guide to Enlightenment which is probably how I ended up following David. I am a movie addict at the moment watching up to 6 movies some days. There are frequent free 30 Day Unwind Your Mind experience which I participate in as well.  There are thousands of youtube videos and other free resources. One of which is the entire ACIM workbook one day at a time read by David.

My path so far started with Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth (thanks to Oprah!) , then Marianne Williamson, Byron Katie, Mooji and now I am pretty much ACIM all the way. This means I use a lot of the terms from the book: miracles, Holy Spirit, guidance, Jesus, etc. To me they are just words but useful to use the common words everyone studying the course can understand together.

My So-Called Life

I am American, a mother of two children, divorced, living in France since 1998.  I live outside of Paris with my dog and two kids.

My “career” path has been chaotic at best.  I am sure I will write more about this so let’s just say at the moment what I am doing is living in the countryside doing freelance web/ Internet/design work,  painting and drawing every day, movie watching night and day and now also working part time at Mcdonalds.  This after creating/running a wellness center for 5 years, creating and selling two companies, working as an Internet Director, Project Manager, Web designer, graphic designer, temp, etc.  I shall mention all this is after University as a drawing and painting major with the original intent of being an artitst.

About this journal

I journal sporadically. I have hundreds of little notebooks and pages over the years. But this week I saw there was a journal writing retreat with Kirsten Buxton (Living Miracles, Author, I married a Mystic) there was no way I could attend but then on a Sunday show (Living Miracles Sunday Shows) a host spoke of the retreat and I felt sparked again to write to Spirit.

However, at the same time, I was writing in a fb group (mighty companions in motion) about my issues. This was huge for me to open up on a semi public forum and talk about myself very honestly. After posting, I started thinking I have 100 more posts to write I can’t keep spamming this group! But there was something about not keeping it private in a journal either. So, I immediately went online and created this blog. It’s less private though I don’t really believe anyone will read it, there is a feeling that I have to really say everything instead of referring to a situation without detail because ‘i know the story’ where as assuming there is an outside audience I have to explain more. The act of explaining more has been very useful.
